About
Welcome to La Morena, a charming culinary gem nestled in the picturesque beach town of Taganga, just a stone's throw from Santa Marta, Colombia. Situated at Cra. 1 #18 - 149, La Morena delights locals and tourists alike with its authentic flavors and inviting atmosphere. Known for its attentive service and reasonably priced daily specials, this restaurant strikes a perfect balance between quality and value.
Upon my visit, I was immediately welcomed by the lively ambiance. The wait staff, despite the bustling crowd, showcased remarkable attentiveness, making sure that every guest felt special. The energy in the air was palpable, thanks to a well-curated selection of music that accompanied the dining experience, adding an authentic touch to my meal.
La Morena's menu offers a delightful array of offerings, but the standout dish for me was the pulpo selvaje. This spicy octopus preparation is not only a feast for the senses but also highlights the restaurant's commitment to authentic Colombian cuisine. Coupled with a variety of natural juices, each meal becomes a delicious exploration of local flavors.
From the mouthwatering rice with fish, recommended by a fellow diner, to the jumbo meat combo that left one guest pleasantly surprised by its generous portion, La Morena guarantees that you won't leave hungry. One can't help but appreciate the quality cooking, as many reviews testify to the deliciousness of the dishes, ensuring guests return for seconds.
However, one minor point to note is the volume of the music during peak hours. As one customer aptly described, the vibe was a bit too loud at times, but the staff were responsive and lowered the volume upon request, allowing for a more relaxed dining experience.
Overall, La Morena stands out not only for its delectable dishes but also for its warm hospitality. Whether you're looking for a delicious meal after a day at the beach or a place to enjoy cocktails with friends, this restaurant is a solid choice for anyone visiting Taganga. I left feeling satisfied and eager to return, eager for another taste of its culinary delights.
“ Wonderfull experience ! My choice: pulpo selvaje (spicy and just great), than a meat combo (jumbo version). When I ordered I kindly asked about if it's huge for 1 person. When the main course arrived I was kind of 'too much' ? I asked about this oversize dish and all went fine. Beer offered and price reduction. Very lovely surprized. Excellent cooking, main part of the meet was offered to the lovely dogs...Service and price very good. Can only recommend. ”
“ Everything here is good, food and attention, but it is not a five stars restaurant. We had the daily specials for 20,000 pesos each, plus natural juices and 10K each. At 1 pm the music was very loud, fortunately they lowered the volume after my request. There's a small view of the beach from there restaurant, I added a picture of this. In general: this restaurant is a good option on this beach town, I definitively would return. ”
“ Really good service and food was food. I recoment the rice with fish ”
“ Amazing atmosphere! Wait staff were very attentive even when there was so many people and it was very busy. Music and food were great and I'd definitely come back to eat here or even just have a cocktail again! ”
“ Great authentic flood in the Taganga city close to Santa Marta. We had a large group and enjoyed the food and service. ”
